At Performack Psychology we take your privacy and data protection very seriously. The following outlines our policies on privacy, confidentiality, and data protection, and commmunication.

Privacy
Your privacy is important. Do note that we, Performack Psychology and Wix (our website developer) receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet. We may also use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile depending on which Performack Psychology service you are using. When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Furthermore, materials such as session notes and reports will be kept confidential and stored securely by Dr. Mckenzie Dow. Electronic data from sessions will be password protected. Hard copy documents will be stored in a locked filing cabinet.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a core requirement for effective sport psychology practice. When you participate in individual consulting sessions with Dr. Mckenzie Dow, the content of those sessions remains confidential. Information about you, including professional records that are required by the laws of and standards of the profession, will be kept strictly confidential. Please be aware of the following exceptions to this:

If you present a danger to yourself or others, I have a legal requirement to help keep you safe and a duty of care to warn potential victims and the authorities.

If you identify or report any known or suspected abuse of a child, an elder, or other vulnerable people, I am required by law to report such abuse to the appropriate state agency.


Data Protection
All records and contact information will be stored in compliance with Ireland Data Protection Acts 1988 – 2018 and the General Data Protection Directive (GDPR). Under the GDPR, you have the right to request a copy of personal data for the purposes of rectifying information, being informed about use, and to have personal data erased under certain conditions detailed in Articles 17 & 19 of the GDPR (see https://www.dataprotection.ie/en/individuals/know-your-rights)

We may contact you to notify you to troubleshoot problems with online services and transactions related to your interactions with Performack Psychology, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our user agreements, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

When you begin engaging with any services provided by Performack Psychology you will be asked your preferences for how you would like to be contacted.

We are also very mindful of marketing. We will not send you any marketing emails pertaining to new services, and consider our marketing tactics very carefully, keeping ethical marketing in mind.
