Who we are
Mckenzie Dow, PhD
By ‘we’ I mean me! I founded Performack Psychology with the goal of helping athletes and performers reach their maximum potential. Recreational or elite - it's all fun to me! I'm here to use the techniques of sport and performance psychology to help you reach your goals, build resilience, cope with setbacks and manage stress. I am currently working towards professional accreditation with the Irish Sport & Exercise Science Association and welcome the upcoming registration process with CORU Ireland.
I have a wealth of experience collaborating with performers to develop their mental skills and support their wellness. Having worked with athletic teams, individual athletes and those in corporate settings for years, I understand the importance of athlete wellbeing and a person-centred approach to sport and performance psychology practice.
I have an MSc in Sport, Performance and Exercise Psychology from the University of Limerick and a PhD in Public Health from University College Dublin in addition to undergraduate and Masters studies in psychology and psychological science.
I also support undergraduate and masters psychology students in Dublin Business School with supervision of final-year projects and dissertations. I conduct research on topics of sport and performance psychology, and body image.
